The GSCE/A'level syllabus specifically mentions under 'matters of life':- when life begins, and who is responsible for life. Cross reference should be made between this section and those covering medical developments, medical research, and ethics.
The GSCE syllabus also specifies quality of life and sanctity of life as topics to be covered.
The A'level syllabus specifies the concept of the soul, and the nature of personal identity.
